List Building Is Used To Collect Information From Visitors You Can Build Your List In Under 30 Days

Having a list building technique is synonymous with success for any website or internet based business. List building is used to collect information from visitors so that future contact can be made. In some cases the individual or business may want to send a newsletter or some other follow up type correspondence. By having this contact information the company can send marketing attempts to try and generate further revenue. This comes in especially handy when traffic is down or sales are following a flat line pattern.

There are a number of ways to collect contact information from websites. There are squeeze pages, sign up pages and other techniques that fall under the list building campaigns. Some sites come right out and ask for the visitors email, physical address or other personal contact information, while others attempt to gain the information in a little more sneaky way. Most advertising advocates boast that whichever method works is the one that should be used! If a squeeze page is used, then it should be very specific and work appropriately.

Any list building technique should work and have at least half of the visitors leaving their information. If half are not leaving their information, the site owner should consider employing a different technique. Testing and tracking the results of any type of marketing is always suggested to ensure that it works appropriately and is worth the money spent. If the program is failing it should be removed at once and replaced with a more effective list building strategy.

How Do I Build My List in Under 30 Days?

List building is something that does not happen overnight, however with a few solid marketing methods and some hard work you can have a big list in just 30 days. One of the most common questions I get asked is how do I build my list? Many people are aware that they need to build a responsive list, but just do not know how to do it quickly.

To build a list of buyers you have to market to the correct crowd. I have two main marketing methods that I use which bring me consistent, targeted traffic which I can turn into buyers.

My first tip for list building is article marketing. Whether you like it or not, nothing builds a targeted list quite like article marketing. Most people think that you have to write a great among of articles to build a list, which is just not true. I have had several of my articles get me tons of traffic! If you write 20 well researched articles each month in a niche that is not overcrowded you can build a list of buyers fast.

The other method I use is Google AdWords. Adwords is great for building a list, because you can test a page instantly to see if it is going to bring you profits long term. When people ask how do I build, I always tell them to use Google AdWords as a part of your campaign.

List building is crucial, but it is also important that you stay in touch with your list in order to build a responsive list of buyers. If you are building but not providing value to your list of customers then you need to start trying to build better relationships with your list.

List Building - When Size Isn’t Always the Best!

When building a list, a lot of tips and tricks say that volume is everything. Add 100, 1000, 10000 hits a day with their simple methods! These types of building tips are ones you should avoid as your list will become little more than a spam list that people will sign up for with no other reason than to get your free offer.

You need to avoid the normal spam techniques and build your list to be active and full of people that are interested in what you have to offer. Having a list made of robots and random people, while sure increases your target audience, also decreases your personal levels of interest.

When people are told to sign up for lists or are directed to as part of offers or because some big spam site posted your link, sure your hits will go up exponentially, but this growth is not sustained nor will it last. You need to build your list from your site, using your customers. You need to have a good “squeeze page” in place that will draw people into signing up for your list based on what you have to offer, and based on interest in your business, not based on what other people are saying you are giving away for free with opt-ins to the list. Free items are great ways to convince someone to give your list a try, but you have to be ready and understand that the moment the word free hits your sit you will get hits from people that are interested in the free item and not in your list or business in the least.

Why Would A Smaller List Work?

Smaller lists are frequently higher quality than a larger one. Simply because the larger one is filled with people that are filling out offers for random, directed by websites and such that are just made to snag more and more users. A smaller list is one build with a strong foundation and has a base of loyal customers and fans of a product or service that are looking to stay in the loop and get the drop on products and sales. In days when foot traffic to a store is at a minimum and many stores are increasing their online presence while decreasing their store front presence, lists can generate the interest you would get from foot traffic, and window shopping, while allowing you to plant the seeds in the ears of your loyal customers and let them spread it to their friends and bring you new subscribers!

Squeezing a “Squeeze Page” Into Your List Building Strategy!

Squeeze Page’s are a huge part of list building. They are the visual space on your website promoting your list that you are building, and they are the first contact that people will have with the list. While you need to ensure people are informed, you need to keep the page short and to the point. Over saturating a squeeze page can be a death wish for the list.

Do not try and over complicate the process in which you sign up for the list. Request a Name and an Email address, and nothing more. People are not applying for anything that requires more than that, and if they sign up for your list you already know they are interested in your products or services, do not make them fill out some 13 page legal form that becomes a task. Too much information is required these days when it is not necessary.

Do not attempt to make the squeeze page too flashy. While included some video and audio may be appropriate, it is not required to be successful. What works for one niche, may harm another. You need to ensure that the purpose does not become hidden behind flash and sound, and that your message and purpose remains crystal clear.

Promotion these days seems to be all glitz and glamour. People are underestimated and thought to only go for the loudest and shiniest thing put before them. You will find that if you put the facts out there and explain your product or service, you will get a more positive response then if you try to lie your way into snagging just a few people.

Word of mouth these days is one of the most under targeted and untapped resources out there. Businesses sometimes forget that people talk, and not just locally. A good or a bad experience can be transmitted faster than ever via instant message or email and can cause a chain reaction that can cause irreparable harm to a business.  Not only do you need to focus on drawing new customers constantly but you NEED to keep the current ones happy!

How Do I Keep Customers Happy?

Well these days, there are few ways that work for multiple groups of people. Every person responds differently to different methods but everyone responds to the truth the same. Use your list and get your message out there, keep everyone up to date on your business and you will keep people happy. Neglecting your list, can cause a negative effect that will make it look like you do not care, and that will be the downfall of your business!
